Pregnancy Counselling & Care (Scotland)
Pregnancy Counselling & Care (Scotland) is a local charity that supports families and individuals across during pregnancy and early parenthood, or at time of loss, by providing practical and emotional support.
They achieve this through the following services:
- Baby Bank: using donations of baby clothes, toys and equipment from the public, they make up Baby Packs to be sent out to families in need referred to them by health professionals from across Edinburgh
- Counselling: they provide professional counselling to anyone who is struggling as a result of pregnancy, childbirth, baby loss, miscarriage, termination, stillbirth or infertility
Baby Bank at the Gyle
Their Baby Bank is operating from the Gyle on a temporary basis, as they were unfortunately flooded out of their normal premises in Granton over early January 2024.
They are keen to encourage local people to donate their baby equipment (eg. prams, pushchairs, cots, high chairs etc), toys and clothes (suitable for the age of 2 years old).
To Donate Small Items: please drop off your items in our drop-off container at the Baby Bank (across from JD Sport) during our opening hours.
To Donate Baby Items: please complete the online donations form to arrange your drop off
Interested in Volunteering?
They are also keen to encourage local people to volunteer to help process and sort donations and make up Baby Packs. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete their online volunteer application form.

Please note: The Baby Bank space at the Gyle will only be open for people who are dropping off pre-arranged donations, or for people wanting to enquire about volunteering. It is not a place for the public to browse.
